Burnishing Awl
Tool for burnishing punched holes in leather or for enlarging holes. The 4.7 cm long metal tip is suitable for burnishing and widening holes with a diameter of 2 - 11 mm.

Made of brass. The leather braid must be "pointed" with a scalpel and can then be screwed into the threaded hole at the rear end of the needle.

Rickert - Perma Lok / Braiding Needles
Brass braiding needles with internal thread for use with leather braiding straps. Available in 2 different shapes.
- Rounded shape: The rounded, unformed top makes it easy to weave, especially in more complex types of braid. - Flattened shape: The classic form of the perma-lok needle with a flattened tip. Braided tapes can be kept easier in the correct position.
The leather braid band must be "tapered" with a knife and can then be screwed into the threaded hole at the rear end of the needle. It thus creates a firm connection between the needle and braid.
