Roller Dye Tool

For an easy and even application of edge paints onto your leather edges. The tool, machined from an aluminum block and extremely robust, is an ideal aid in edge painting and for very long workpieces, e.g. Belts.

Use:
Edge paint is filled into the aluminum bowl until the roller has contact with it and its surface is covered with paint when used. The application of paint can be precisely dosed with the help of the plastic wiper. (The closer the scraper sits, the less the amount of paint to be applied.) Now let the leather edge roll over the solid roller and the paint will stick to the edge as desired. Accidental painting of the surface can thus be greatly reduced.

After dyeing, the roller tool can be cleaned easily and residue-free - a re-use with other paints is therefore possible at any time.

GIARDINI - MAXEDGE™ Pro Cleaner Cleaning fluid, 250 ml Cleaning fluid for cleaning edge paint rollers soiled by use.Attention! MAXEDGE™ Pro Cleaner is specially designed for use with our MAXMATT™ and MAXEDGE™ Pro edge paints. The function with edge paints from other manufacturers may be limited. Manufacturer information: Suitable for clean and easy cleaning of edge rollers. Suitable for softening paint residues which are difficult to remove otherwise. MAXEDGE™ Pro Cleaner is water-based, but contains surfactants to a certain extent which help to break up the dried paint, making cleaning much easier. The use is especially recommended during the individual operations. Thus new colour can be used easily with an edge paint roller. Consistency: thin Application: Put a sufficient amount of MAXEDGE™ Pro Cleaner in a glass to cover the soiled parts of the edge roller. Put the soiled tool in the prepared glass. After a brief exposure time of approx. 10 minutes, the paint residues which are now dissolved can be easily removed with a rag or a small brush.

Fiebing`s Dura Edge

Fiebing's Dura Edge Edge sealing / edge coating 236 ml Seal leather edges professionally with our Fiebing`s Dura Edge. The resulting, satin gloss, ensures a professional appearance of the edges and is pliable, water and abrasion resistant. A wool dauber is already incorporated in the lid of the bottles. Alternatively you can always use one of our wool daubers or a brush.Apply the Fiebing's Dura Edge and let it dry (do not wipe the edge, it dries wonderfully, giving it the perfect look). Consistency: viscous Please choose between brown and black. Application: Important!: Use the edge colours for leather edges only. Edge paints are not suitable for dyeing the groin or flesh side of leather. Prepare the leather edge for dyeing by sanding it with a fine sandpaper or smoothing the edge with edge burnisher. Stir the edge colour thoroughly. Please do not shake, as otherwise bubbles form which dissolve very slowly only. Apply the edge colour to the leather edge with the a wool dauber in the lid, a brush, wool dauber or our edge roller. Our edge paints dry relatively quickly. Please make sure that any edge paint on the surface is wiped off immediately with a damp cloth to prevent an uneven edge and avoid stains. For a denser paint application apply another coat of edge paint to your work piece. Wait approx. 5 - 10 min. Now you can smooth the edge with an edge burnisher or a bone folder again. After about one hour, the edge paint is dry and adheres firmly to the edge.
