Product information "Wetmolding Leather "

Create your preshaped bags, pouches or trays for keys and small stuff. Press mold for wetmolding of vegtan leather. Once dried the leather will hold its shape. Maximum thickness of leather 5 mm one layer or 2.5 mm for doublelayer. Soak the leather in lukewarm water, premolding by hand is adviseable, especially for complex forms or higher inlays. Clamp the frame in place and let dry completely (duration depending on thickness of leather and climate conditions, speeding up is possible by using a hairdryer).

Material: 18 mm plywood for base, frame and inlay, 10 mm plywood spacer as sandwich for increased height. Pins for positioning included.
