Rickert - Pricking Irons (slanted - seam marking iron)
high-quality pricking irons of Japanese production. Excellent quality for easy and clean marking of seam holes.
This type of multi tine iron is not used to pierce the leather completely, but merely to pre-mark the seam spacing similar to a seam marker. The slits created during light impacting, help to guide the awl through the leather and signify a uniform seam course. (Of course, the leather can also be completely punctured.)
The biggest difference between this variant of multi tine iron is that the intersected holes differ only in the running distance. The tines are the same size for all irons. In addition, when sewing a very significant grading of the seam takes place, which is not so pronounced in simple, diamond-shaped pricking irons.
Diagonal seam markers are available in 4 different running widths.
