Osborne Fitters' Hammer
The fitters' hammer is made of malleable iron. The polished hammer surfaces are used used for smoothing/tamping of seams or smoothing leather. Even freshly glued leather parts can be wonderfully pressed together with this handy tool without damaging the surface of the leather. A disturbing handle of e.g. a cobbler's hammer is eliminated. This tool is often used to press seams that have been created during turning and are to be flattened after the later everting of the workpiece on the inside.
