Leather color / Metallic color / top coat, ROC Denmark
The very highly pigmented and therefore highly opaque ROC metallic colours are ideal for painting leather and other materials. A large-scale application of the paint is as easy and without banding possible as the partial use when setting accents.
Note: The colors are not water- or scratch- resistant after drying out. Typical metallic colors, the metallic particles can detach on contact or movement. Therefore, a seal should be applied after drying to prevent this erosion and not accidentally elsewhere to provide a glitzy surprise. (As a waterproof finish we recommend one of the following products: Giardini MAXCRAFT Fixative, Eco Flo Super Shene or Fiebing's Resolene)
For dyeing we recommend our brush, wool brush or dyeing sponge.
Please note that the use of different display technologies and individual display settings can lead to distortions in the colour representation. Therefore, the colours shown on your display may differ slightly from the actual colour of the products shown on our product photos. If in doubt, we recommend viewing the product photos on another display or contacting us.
Leather Dye, ROC Danmark / ROC Narvsværte - made in Denmark
For dyeing vegetable tanned leather, as well as uncoated shoe or furniture leather. Also suitable for small repairs of leather shoes and leather clothing.
ROC leather dyes produce an excellent, deep and uniform color, are waterproof and lightfast. A washing out or bleaching of the colors is thereby reduced. Repeated dying or slower application of the dyes gives them an even stronger and darker color.
ROC leather colors are available in 14 different colors:Black, Earth Brown (Black Brown), Dark Brown, Mahogany, Red Brown, Yellow Brown, Green, Blue, Violet, Cyclamen, Red, Orange, Tan and Yellow. In addition, the color "black extra" is available as long as stock is enough.
Note: Please note that the colors on the color chart are for guidance only. The final color result depends on the way of applying the color, the base color of the leather, as well as the finish used afterwards. Always test the dye on an hidden spot or on a leather rest to avoid unpleasant surprises.
ROC leather dyes are heavily pigmented and ensure a very rich color application. The colors are very light stable (lightfast)
For dyeing we recommend our wool brush or dyeing sponge and then a surface finish to seal the dyed leather.
Please note that the use of different display technologies and individual display settings can lead to distortions in the colour representation. Therefore, the colours shown on your display may differ slightly from the actual colour of the products shown on our product photos. If in doubt, we recommend viewing the product photos on another display or contacting us.
Please use suitable gloves and protective equipment to apply the colours. Please note the warnings when using.
Leather Edge Paint, ROC Denmark
Edge sealing / edge varnish
Our ROC edge colors are available in Black, Brown and Neutral. These can be mixed at will. The ROC edge colors dry very quickly and with a satin matt shine. The
Excellent features:
The colors are absorbed very quickly
very fluid, easy application with brushes or woolen daubers is easily possible
highly pigmented, one job, full coverage
Covers without banding
Lightfast
Very flexible (color does not break in motion)
Subsequent polishing is not necessary, but can be polished to the desired gloss level
Important!:- Only use the edge paints for leather edges.- Edge paints are not suitable for colouring the grain or flesh side of leather.- Please always test on a sample first before dyeing on the actual workpiece. This way unpleasant results can be avoided in advance. werden.- If you want to add water to dilute, always use distilled water.- Do not leave the bottle standing opened for too long.- Store the product at a constant temperature (ideal 10-15°), avoid storage under 5°C and above 20°C
Application:
Prepare the leather edge for dyeing by sanding it with a fine grit sandpaper and / or burnishing the edge..
Stir the edge paint thoroughly. Please do not shake, as otherwise bubbles form which dissolve only very slowly.
Apply the edge paint to the leather edge with a brush or a wool dauber. Please make sure that any edge colour on the surface is wiped off immediately with a damp cloth, to avoid uneven edges and staining.
For a denser paint application apply another coat of edge paint to your work piece.
Wait approx. 5 -10 min.
After 15 min, the edge paint is dry and adheres firmly to the edge. A subsequent polishing is no longer necessary.
Please note that the use of different display technologies and individual display settings can lead to distortions in the colour representation. Therefore, the colours shown on your display may differ slightly from the actual colour of the products shown on our product photos. If in doubt, we recommend viewing the product photos on another display or contacting us.
