MAXCRAFT™ Leather Wash up (Wash Up Finish)

Product information "MAXCRAFT™ Leather Wash up (Wash Up Finish)"

MAXCRAFT™ Leather Wash up (Wash Up Finish)

Leather Wash Up is an auxiliary product of the MAXCRAFT series, designed to create a wash-up/vintage effect on the leather.

This finish is applied after the coloring phase of the leather surface is completed by using the MAXCRAFT Leather dye. It acts with a superficial and partial removal of the dye, thus creating a particular wash up effect on the leather surface. The product can be applied by hand with a dauber, a cloth or sponge.

In case of repaint operations the product can be used to clean the leather before being dyed again.

After having realized the Wash up effect, other products of the Maxcraft series can also be applied on top of it, such as Leather dye Fixative, Leather Gloss Finish or Leather Dye Conditioner.

GIARDINI - MAXCRAFT™ DYE
GIARDINI - MAXCRAFT™ DYE
Leather colour / MAXCRAFT™ DYE Suitable for even dyeing of natural smooth leather (vegetable tanned or chrome tanned). MAXCRAFT™ offers you a wide range of colour options available readily mixed or to be mixed by yourself. There is nothing standing your way to create your own colour variations. Whether for full-surface dyeing or for background colouring with floral motifs - you get an excellent coverage like an acrylic or top coat. However, the surface texture or scars are retained as in the use of classic penetrating dye or antique gel. Excellent features: VOC reduced (volatile organic compounds) water repellent when dried out abrasion and scratch resistant fade Subsequent finishing is not necessary colours are miscible with each other colours perfectly combinable with our MAXMATT™ and MAXEDGE™ edge colours Minimal colour differences when using different types of leather. Consistency: viscousImportant!: Only use the leather dyes for smooth leather. MAXCRAFT™ leather colours are not suitable for recolouring already industrially dyed and finished leathers (eg coloured furniture leather or automotive leather) Only partially suitable for colouring leather edges. Use the matching colours from our MAXMATT™ or MAXEDGE™ range. Please always test on a sample before dyeing on the actual work piece first. This way unpleasant results can be avoided in advance. If you want to add water to dilute, always use distilled water. (Maximum dilution of 20%, higher dilution reduces the properties of the dye) Store the product at consistent temperatures. Use within 6 months after opening. MAXCRAFT™ is fundamentally different from all other leather colours, making direct comparisons difficult. Download: safetydatasheetApplication: Stir the leather dye thoroughly. Please do not shake, as otherwise bubbles form which dissolve only very slowly. Apply leather dye to a slightly dampened sponge, e.g. our Fiebing's Dye Sponge. For dyeing leather, we recommend slightly diluting the paint and applying it with a brush. The use of wool daubers for dyeing is not recommended, relief type markings can be the result. Rub the leather surface to be dyed completely with circular movements and slight pressure to cover the whole area. Repeat the process as needed a second time to get a denser dye job. After about 20 minutes, the dye is dry and can be polished again if desired. This way you can get the desired gloss effect. Please note that the use of different display technologies and individual display settings can lead to distortions in the colour representation. Therefore, the colours shown on your display may differ slightly from the actual colour of the products shown on our product photos. If in doubt, we recommend viewing the product photos on another display or contacting us.
