This book, written in English by Tony and Kay Laier, explains various basics of staining techniques and applications based on the Eco-Flo product range on 39 pages. Individual dyeing examples, various finishes and antique colors are explained and usage examples are described. The individual descriptions are well illustrated and partly self-explanatory. Coloring with Eco-Flo is a very good foundation for using our Eco-Flo products.

Fiebing`s Antique Leather Finish

Fiebing's Antique Finish Antique finish to emphasize tooled leather. The Fiebing`s Antique Finish "dyes" leather slightly according to the color used and at the same time enhances hollows. Places that should not be dyed must be protected with a suitable finish (e.g., Resolene, Tan Kote, ProResist, Giardini Fixative...) first. The leather is only lightly dyed. If you want to dye leather in one go and give it an antique touch, then use our following products: - Leder Antik Finish Vintage Gel 236ml- Antique leather finish / Fiebing's Antique Leather Stain- Antique leather finish / Fiebing's Hi-liter- Leather Antique Finish / Craft Japan Antique Carving Dye Apply Antique Finish in circular motions and remove excess dye with a soft cloth immediatly. Afterwards this finish has to be protected with a leather finish (like Resolene, Tan Kote, Blockout, Satin Shene). Fiebing`s Edge Kote

Fiebing's Edge Kote Edge sealer / edge lacquer in 118 ml and 946 ml version Seal leather edges professionally with our Fiebing's Edge Kote. The resulting, semi-gloss, ensures a professional appearance of the edges, is waterproof and flexible. If desired, you can dilute this paint with water. Consistency: viscous Please choose a colour. Application: Important!: Only use the edge paints on leather edges. Edge paints are not suitable for colouring grain or flesh side of the leather. Always try edge paints on scrap pieces first to be safe from unwanted results. Prepare the leather edge for dyeing by sanding it with a fine sandpaper or smoothing the edge with an edge burnisher. Stir the edge paint thoroughly. Please do not shake, as otherwise bubbles form which dissolve only very slowly. Apply the edge paint on the leather edge with a brush, wool dauber or our edge roller. Our edge paints are relatively fast drying. Please make sure that any edge paint that has reached the surface is wiped off with a damp cloth immediately to avoid stains. For a denser paint application apply another coat of edge paint. Wait approx. 5 - 10 min. Now you can smooth the edge with an edge burnisher or a bone folder again. After about one hour, the edge paint has dried and adheres firmly to the edge. Fiebing`s Tan Kote Leather finish 118 ml / 946 ml Fiebing's Tan Kote is an easy-to-apply resin-based top finish for leather. It is transparent and leaves a satin sheen. Fiebing's Tan Kote can be used as a thinner for Fiebing's Antik Finishes to create a better finish but is not waterproof. Fiebing's Tan Kote can be used to seal / protect / block differently colored toolings if they are not to be over-stained with an antique finish. Please test the product in advance on a remnant piece to test the behavior related to the color used. Please allow the finish to dry completely before further processing (about 24 hours). Fiebing`s Leather Sheen Leather varnish - top finish New shine for your leather goods with our Fiebing`s Leather Sheen. Your leather goods will receive a shiny, highly flexible and waterproof finish. Thus, the leather is protected from drying out. You can use Fiebing`s Leather Sheen for saddles, belts, bags, shoes, boots and many leather products. Shake the bottle well before use. The leather goods should be thoroughly cleaned before application and allowed to dry. Apply the lotion with a soft cloth and polish it after it has absorbed. Fiebing`s Leather Sheen can be used to seal / protect / block differently colored toolings if they are not to be dyed by antique finish. Fiebing's Dura Edge Edge sealing / edge coating 236 ml Seal leather edges professionally with our Fiebing`s Dura Edge. The resulting, satin gloss, ensures a professional appearance of the edges and is pliable, water and abrasion resistant. A wool dauber is already incorporated in the lid of the bottles. Alternatively you can always use one of our wool daubers or a brush.Apply the Fiebing's Dura Edge and let it dry (do not wipe the edge, it dries wonderfully, giving it the perfect look). Consistency: viscous Please choose between brown and black. Application: Important!: Use the edge colours for leather edges only. Edge paints are not suitable for dyeing the groin or flesh side of leather. Prepare the leather edge for dyeing by sanding it with a fine sandpaper or smoothing the edge with edge burnisher. Fiebing's Leather Dye Alcohol-based leather dyes. The 28 different colours can be mixed by additive colour mixing. This way you can make your own colour yourself.
